With unmanaged hardware hosting, Internet Ireland simply provides rack-space for your equipment, dual power supplies, and dual network connectivity. This allows you the flexibility to have your own people manage the day to day elements of your kit but safe in the knowledge that it is secure in a state of the art facility. This service is sometimes referred to as "pack, power & ping".
Management of any part of the equipment, operating system, or services, beyond the demarcation above is considered as “remote hands” work. As part of the service there is an allocation of time included in all our contracts above which a flat hourly rate applies. This way you can budget for "normal" operation, but have peace of mind in knowing you are still covered if the need arises.
Technical assistance during server installs
We will work with you to install your server in our data centre facilities. A Support Engineer will be available to provide advice on any part of your installation and provide you with full details of the networking of your machine.
Data centre equipment
The only equipment that you will require is your server and respective power cables.
We will provide you with a shelf for your server and all network connections. A monitor, keyboard and mouse are available in the facility for your use.
Access to your server
Arrange for access to our server facility through our Account Management team. At all times IIL ensures that one of our engineers is onsite while you are in the data centre and available to assist.
